Srinivas Laxman

Description

Srinivas Laxman, a graduate from Mumbai’s Elphinstone College, is a space journalist contributing regularly to the Times of India. Over the years he has covered major rocket launches at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, including India’s maiden lunar mission, Chandrayaan-1, and the first flight to Mars, Mangalyaan.


He has interviewed the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong, and the last man who stood on the lunar surface, Eugene Cernan. He has also interacted with India’s first spaceman, Rakesh Sharma, and Indian-American astronauts, Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams.


He has visited NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre at Florida, the Johnson Space Centre at Houston, Texas, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena near Los Angeles and the European spaceport of Kourou in French Guyana, South America.
